We are very pleased to announce that the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) is almost done processing all your winning bids as donations, and we are now Moving On to the shipping phase of the process!
First, please note that every winning bidder will be receiving a receipt from the NBTS directly. They will be sending them out over the course of the next 2 weeks.
Second, as we have stated in the FAQ, we are only a two-person operation with regular full-time jobs, so we really appreciate your patience and understanding while we ship over 200 items to different people all over the world! We will be shipping the smaller items out first, and move towards the bigger items – posters/prints/paintings, furniture, etc. We estimate that delivery should take approximately 1-2 weeks for US domestic, and 3-4 weeks for international.

* UPDATE: On 9/7/12, we were finally able to forward all of your final and verified winning bid and credit card information to the National Brain Tumor Society. Please give them 1-2 weeks to process over 250 bids as donations, and then give us 1-2 weeks after that time to prepare and ship your items!
Greetings, Cancer Gets LOST supporters and charity auction winners! We wanted to keep you posted about the status of your items.
As noted in our Auction FAQ, we kindly ask that you give us 6-8 weeks for the delivery of your items. Right now we are still on target to do so, but are currently experiencing a delay due to Bidding for Good’s technical errors. As you know, Bidding for Good is our auction host site, and their engineers are working to fix the issues. Long story short, when we look at Winning Bidder and Awarded Item reports, not every auction item winner is aligned properly with their winning item(s). We will not forward your credit card information on the National Brain Tumor Society until we are 100% sure that it is all correct!
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
It would be tremendously helpful if all winning bidders double checked their Winning Bid Alert emails with their Bidding for Good accounts, to make sure that there aren’t any discrepancies. If there are, please forward your Winning Bid Alert emails to Jared, along with an explanation of said discrepancies (jared [at] cancergetslost [dot] org).
Thank you in advance for your patience! Once BFG has fixed the errors, we will provide the NBTS with your winning bid information. Every single bid will then be processed by the NBTS as a tax-deductible donation (where applicable).
To avoid confusion, PLEASE do not call/contact either Bidding for Good or the NBTS. We are working very closely with each of them to ensure 100% accuracy, and will keep you posted along the way.
