Getting LOST: The 2024 Documentary!
Hello kind LOST friends! As many of you are already likely aware, there is a LOST documentary in production as we speak, a fully independent film project directed by Taylor Morden (“The Last Blockbuster”) and produced by our good friend Ralph D. Apel (The Dharmalars Podcast)!
“Getting LOST” is slated to open in 2024; the release date is aiming to be timed with the 20-year anniversary of the show’s debut (September 2004). The team has been interviewing cast, crew and fans of the series - including Cancer Gets Lost! We are honored to be a part of this incredible movie, and are very excited for you all (everybody) to see it all when it debuts.
Because the documentary is being created completely independently, they have limited resources. So the team has created a crowdsourcing campaign that gives LOST fans the opportunity to contribute to the documentary’s production and completion!
In addition to being interviewed for the documentary, CGL has donated a large number of LOST items from our huge excess of inventory to the film’s new fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo! The items that we donated will be used as incentivizing perks for those that are able to make a donation to the campaign at varying levels (for various rewards), and they will only be offered during this fundraiser. But do not worry - we still a massive number of different, rare and signed LOST items for our 2024 online charity auction and beyond! :)
Lovely bonus: a portion of the proceeds from some of the items in the Getting Lost documentary fundraising campaign will be kindly donated to Cancer Gets Lost, and for that we are so grateful to the doc team!
The “Getting LOST” documentary fundraiser is now LIVE on IndieGoGo, and you will be able to get your first sneak peek at the film; HERE is the link! And if you weren’t able to join us on 8.15.23 at 8:15am PT for the live stream that revealed film updates and more - it will be archived and available for you to watch at your convenience!
CGL 2024 PLANS
CGL is currently working on our big 2024 LOST-focused online charity auction, and will keep you posted once we’ve settled on dates + which cancer charity we’ve designated to receive 100% of our auction proceeds!
