1. When does the auction open and close?

The auction will open on 8/15/2012 at 1:08pm Eastern Time: www.biddingforgood.com/CancerGetsLOST. The first lot will close on 8/29/2012 at 3:16pm Eastern Time. Each lot has a different closing time to allow bidders the opportunity to bid on multiple items. Note that due to extended bidding, a lot may close up to one hour after its stipulated closing time (please see next question).

2. What is extended bidding?

If a new bid is made on a lot within 5 minutes prior to its stipulated closing time, that particular lot will remain open for an additional 5 minutes. This will allow the previous highest bidder to be notified, and to raise the bid if he/she desires. Additionally, everyone will also be given extra time to bid on that particular lot. If a bid is made within those 5 extended minutes, the lot will again remain open for a further 5 minutes and so on; up to one hour after the stipulated closing time.

3. How do I pay?

After the auction closes, you will be asked to enter your credit card information (VISA/MasterCard). That information will then be transmitted to and processed by the National Brain Tumor Society. Every single winning bid will be processed as a donation to the NBTS; we do not touch a single Penny!

*American Express users: Please see next question!

4. Can I pay with American Express?

Yes, but note that you must be willing to email your CVV number (the 4-digit number on the front, just above your credit card  number) to jared[at]cancergetslost[dot]org. Your payment cannot be processed without this information!

5. When will I get my item(s)?

Please be aware that we are only a two-person operation, and we do have regular full-time jobs! We will certainly try to ship all items as soon as we can, but please allow up to 6 – 8 weeks for both the NBTS to process donations and for us to prepare for the shipment and delivery of over 200 items. We really appreciate your patience and understanding in advance!

SHIPPING NOTE: We will try to bundle together your items when possible, but all posters/prints will be shipped in tubes – separately from any other items you may have won. All posters/prints/paintings, furniture & the Blu-ray set will be shipped by Jared, and every other item will be shipped out by Jo. If you have a specific shipping request, email us and we will try to accommodate; however, please keep in mind that we are packaging and shipping items to over 200 different people all over the world.  As a reminder, we are a 2-person operation and we are paying for shipping out of pocket – so we appreciate your patience!

6. Is shipping included?

For most items, yes! However, there are certain large/heavy/bulky items where is not feasible. Examples include the *furniture from the survivors’ beach camp (Lots 162, 163, 164, 165, & 253), the autographed complete Blu-ray set (Lot 112), the paintings by drMikey (Lots 110, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, & 161), and the custom-framed posters (Lots 280 & 281). For these items, you MUST be willing and able to pay for shipping via PayPal! Please contact Jared [at] CancerGetsLOST [dot] org BEFORE you bid, to clarify shipping details.

IF you are willing and able to pick these items up in Los Angeles, there will not be any shipping charges!

*Note that we will only ship the furniture within the 48 contiguous United States (i.e., excluding Alaska and Hawaii). HOWEVER, if you live in Alaska/Hawaii or outside the contiguous United States, AND are willing and able to arrange for shipping/transport, you are welcome to bid! In any case, please send an email to Jared BEFORE you bid to be sure.

7. Do you ship internationally?

Yes; with the exception of the furniture from the survivors’ beach camp (Lots 162, 163, 164, 165, & 253). Due to the weight and size of these items, we will only ship the furniture within the 48 contiguous United States (i.e., excluding Alaska and Hawaii). HOWEVER, if you live in Alaska/Hawaii or outside the contiguous United States, AND are willing and able to arrange for shipping/transport, you are welcome to bid! In any case, please contact Jared [at] CancerGetsLOST [dot] org BEFORE you bid, to clarify shipping details.
