CGL 2012 Online Charity Auction, Live Webcast & Fundraising Party Wrap-Up!
As many of you know, we selected National Brain Tumor Society as the charity to receive 100% of the proceeds from the first official Cancer Gets Lost online charity auction, as well as our live fundraising webcast and fan party. We chose the NBTS because of my sweet friend Jackie, who passed away on August 3, 2012 after bravely battling brain tumors and cancer for four years.
We just wanted to wrap up our 2012 Cancer Gets LOST endeavors by reiterating how grateful we are for your amazing support. Thanks to your very generous auction item purchases and donations, we raised over $60,000 for the National Brain Tumor Society, in honor of Jackie. That number far exceeded our wildest expectations, and we are so thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount of money for a charity organization so close to our hearts!
Of course the auction, live webcast and fundraising party would not have been possible without the help of SO many kind folks that volunteered their time, items or services. We are so grateful for all involved! Huge thanks to Javi, Jeff, Scotty, Danny, Jorge, Liz, Mark, Neil and Andrea for kindly taking the time to appear on our first ever live charity webcast. It was such a delight to be able to chat about the show with you, all while raising money for the NBTS!
